Thank you

I am so excited...today I received a huge thank you gift for something I created. Friends of ours were involved in a huge local raid (as the good guys) so as a "job well done" my DH handed me some materials and wanted me to create something special for them. I did, then today DH comes home with an envelope for me, from them. They all signed a thank you card and gave us a gift certificate to a very nice restaurant in our area. How nice was that? I was so surprised, and thought that was very nice of them to do. Of course I grabbed the camera and snapped a photo of it.

This is what I created for them. It is an 18x24 frame with their "accomplishments of the week", to hang up at their office.

B-day Invite's

I was asked to make some simple invites for the Fire Dept. Chief's, surprise 50th B-day Party. Of course I just had to use my Circut. This is from the Paper Pup Cart. The card is smaller 3x3. and I made the perfect sized envelopes with the Enveloper! What an easy and great tool that is!! Everyone loved them. The party was tonight, and he was surprised! So all was good.

What a Face

For this LO I used Storybook cart for the shape and Cuttin' Up for the title. I thought I had a stamp for the swirlys but it was not big enough, so I just drew it and added flowers I cut from some scraps.

This was for a challenge from the Mon Ame Memories site. She has great sales there and a fun forum if you want to check it out. http://www.monamememories.com/

Have you seen the new Fiskars??

What fun are these?? Have you tired these yet? I love the Fiskars Squeeze Punches, my fav's are the circle and scalloped circle. I use them all the time. I just got the scalloped square the other day and to add to my excitement I got some of the clear stamps that coordinate with the punches. I played around a little last night with them and made these two cards. (mind you I am not a card maker) and realized the possibilities are endless the things that can be created with these.
I will be working more with these this week and will come up with a great project for our next class. You gals will have so much fun with these.

Evans Ingredients

My nephew just loves playing with these glasses when he comes to visit. He calls them his Ingredients and named each one. Orange Squid Soda, Yellow Griddle Grease, Blue Oyster Juice, and Pink Jelly Fish Jelly. He is just the cutest!!!

I used Piggy Tales Paper-itsy bitsy spider collection. Black Diamond Stickles. Title is cut with the Cricut - Cuttin' up cart. And the swirls is from Storybook.

Class LO

Here is my example of what we created in class Wed. The paper is Chatter Box. We used flowers, buttons, a little ribbon, and covered chipboard. For the Title, I showed everyone how to used the Cricut and how to weld words with the Cricut Design Studio. The green blank spot is for the journaling that I never got a chance to finish. And in the midst of all this fun we had all the TV's on in the house so we would not miss who got kicked off Idol!! My top pick made it through! Whoo Hooo!!!

Challenge LO

I used Crate Paper-Lemon grass paper
and Glitter Die Cuts.

********************Oh CROP!!!

We all had a great time at the crop yesterday.
17 wonderful and talented gals cropped for 12 full hours! Some created Lo's, some cards, some worked on gift projects, we even had a digi girl there. It was so much fun. We kept a running total of Lo's/projects completed and the final number was 131!! That is amazing. You gals ROCK!! I hope everyone had as much fun as I did! Thanks for a great day.

Word Game

OMG'ish this game got everyone laughing. They had 15 mins to make as many words as they could from the letters in the word SCRAPBOOKING. Stacy was our winner!! She found 59 words! Can you believe it? Well her friend Sandy didn't and last I heard wanted to check Stacy's list! Luckily I snapped this photo before Stacy, I think, flushed the evidence... a small fight broke out, there was hair pulling, and name calling, I just walked away..... LOL I'm just kidding. It was all in fun, (but, this is why we re-named them the Wild Table) and Congrats to Stacy for a job well done!!

Gift Bag Challenge

Later in the day we had a gift Bag Challenge. Everyone had to decorate their goodie bag in a Valentine theme. All the bags were decorated so cute! This was such a tough decision for everyone to pick the favorite, that we had a tie! Congrats to our 1st and 1st place picks, Denise and Kelly!!

Button Guess??

Another fun game we played was "Guess how many buttons in the jar"
Aloma was the big winner here with her guess of 270!! The amount was 273.

Crop Contest

Our first contest was the Name Tag Challenge! Everyone had 10 minutes to create a name tag. Then they all walked around to meet one another and vote for their favorite tag. Everyone did a great job, and Amy's was the top pick!! Congrats Amy!!

Crop Goodies

These are the goodies I created for everyone who attended the crop yesterday.

Scrap Queen Tile

This is on a 6x6 ceramic tile, with pink and brown vinyl. I used the CDS (Cricut Design Studio) to weld the letters together. Carts used: Letters CU (Cuttin' Up), Tiara SB (Storybook). The stand is a fork with the prongs bent, the outside two prongs bent back and the inside two bent forward and curled. Enjoy!
